Everybody does at first. Go through the program the way it is laid out and when you get to
the left hand just practice the octave stretch movement in the left hand separate, slow it down if you have
to, and keep doing it a little bit everyday. When you consistently practice this your left hand
will eventually start moving on its own. It really does happen every time. Just keep practicing a little
bit everyday and don’t get concerned about how long it takes. There will be a day that your hand
will just go where you have been begging for it to go.

I will also tell you this. I am a constantly practicing last minute for dueling shows because I play
about once a month somewhere but not every week so I need just a little reminder every time of the
songs etc.. What I have found when I really struggle with a part of a song or a movement is that when
I visualize it in my head what I want it to do and focus on that for a few minutes everyday then I
seem to do much better when I actually play it. Take it for what its worth but it really does work.
It’s another way to practice when you are at lunch, in your car during traffic or whatever. Hope that
