One of my favorite movies of all time is:
“The Unforgiven”
It starred Clint Eastwood among other greats (Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman)
In a nutshell it was about a retired old west gunslinger William Munny (Eastwood) who reluctantly takes on one last job, with the help of his old partner and this new young gun.
Why is this important to you?
Why should you care?
Hold on!
We will get to that.
Anyhoo…
The climax of the movie comes down to a seen in an old west saloon. William Munny (who had quit drinking for years) slammed a bottle of whiskey after finding out his buddy Ned had been killed by the local sheriff.
William Munny walks into this saloon where his buddy Neds body was on display out front, seeking out the scoundrel who beat his friend to death. He holds up his double barrel shotgun, asks who owns this place, and then proceeds to shoot the man.
Shocked, the sheriff (Gene Hackman) says:
“Sir, you are a cowardly “son of a ______” you just shot an unarmed man.
Munny: He should have armed himself.
Maybe he should have.
Point being.
We all walk into situations where we should have been better prepared. Where we should have “armed” ourselves better.
And when it comes to learning how to play piano, arming yourself with the right program, step by step process, and proven method is vital to your success.
Sure… you can go online, dig through the mess that is called Youtube and maybe eek out some kind of piano playing ability.
But when you sit down at the piano with step by step instructions and lessons on what to do first, then next, and what to do for today, tomorrow, next week etc. When you are holding in your hands the exact blueprint to take you from not playing the piano to calling yourself a piano player…
…then you have essentially armed yourself to succeed.
So don’t be like the saloon owner when it comes to learning piano.
