Quick story to let you know people really do give away beautiful pianos…
I popped into our local music store just to just look at the electronic keyboards.
While looking, the manager – who I’ve gotten to know a little bit — asked me, “Hey, would you be interested in a free baby grand piano?”
I said, “Whaaaaaat?”
He went on to explain how a lady he knows needs more space in her living room. She’s tried to sell the piano, but no one was buying. So she decided to give the piano away!
After asking a few questions about its condition, I made arrangements with the best piano tuner in town to check things over.
When he was done evaluating the piano, he turned to me and said, “Man, if you don’t take this piano, I will.”
It turns out, I did.
And now this beautiful Cable-Nelson from the 1930s is in MY living room. And I play it everyday.
