Layer Method students tend to do some disturbing things when they come across random pianos in public. At least disturbing to those who are stuck reading sheet music, but not to the rest of the listeners.
And a while ago I sent you an email about Katie (pianofool student) and how she put on impromptu concert at Costco.
She decided she had more to say about that.
In her words:
“LOL, yes, my first impromptu concert was COSTCO. I have now been playing for about two years and it is true, as soon as I see a piano, no matter where, my heart races, I ask no permission and I run to play…
… A few months ago I was in a thrift shop and saw an old old piano and just sat down and started to play. The piano was over 100 years old and not tuned; I played anyway and, customers recognized the song and one said, “you are very talented”. I still get shivers when people say that and internally, I am rolling in laughter. It is a spine tingling awesome feeling when I play in private or impromptu.
You have not asked me for this testimonial, but, I feel that anyone who dreams of playing, really needs to look at this PianoFool program, practice and feel great about your talent! Bring it out of the dark and shine your light on music! It is the warmest chill you will ever feel when you are lost in playing.
Each time I see your encouraging email, it reminds me that I need to hit the keys today to practice…and that is where I am heading right now. Honestly, this was the best investment in myself for wishing to play. Thank you Tim. ”
If you haven’t been practicing then this is your reminder.
You can do this.
It takes just a few minutes a day. 10-15. Thats all.
If you don’t know what to practice because you aren’t a member of the PianoFool family.
