Do you ever wonder why you are so afraid to really go after something?
Whether it has to do with work, relationships, health, family, goals, etc… ?
…you just seem to be paralyzed into taking the next step even when its glaringly obvious.
There are usually only two reasons for this.
You don’t know exactly what to do (lack of framework)
or
You are emotionally attached to the outcome.
A while back I told the story of Chubby Dougie.
Little kid, drool on his lip, generally the kind that gets bullied.
When it came to sports he was a dud. Especially baseball where he led the team in strikeouts.
But he still played.
And one year he got a great coach who told him this:
“Dougie, all I want you to do is go up to the plate, swing at any pitch thrown to you regardless of how bad it is. Then after your three swings, come back to the dugout, give me a high five and get ready to go out in the field.
Well after striking out for multiple games, an accident happened.
Dougie hit the ball, was thrown out at first, and headed back to the dugout.
This time Dougie looked his ol coach in the eyes and said..
… “Coach, I’m a hitter”
Here’s the point.
Dougie was scared to death to go up to the plate until two things happened.
His coach gave him framework (swing three times and sit down)
He was emotionally unattached to the outcome (coach basically told him his job was to strike out which meant he was no longer failing)
If you have been afraid to start the Layer Method of Piano then hear me now.
The framework for this program is “step by step”, zero guesswork by you.
And we aren’t making Mozarts over here, so you don’t have to worry about not becoming a world famous pianist. I promise that won’t happen.
So let go of your expectations and take hold of this truth.
You will be playing with both hands.
Songs you love.
And have the skills to continue doing this on your own for the rest of your life.
No matter how many times you failed at piano before, it’s your time to become a player.
Step up to the plate by signing up here, I’ll be waiting in the dugout to give you a high five!:
