Today is national Scrabble Day errr.. Nerd day.
You probably didn’t know that a board game had it’s own national day huh?
You’d be surprised how many oddball days there are that are “national”
My wifes a nerd.
She loves scrabble and pretty much kicks my butt every time we play it.
She’s even better at boggle.
But I learned something today about Scrabble that will most definitely give me the winning edge next time we play.
There are a secret, simple, set of words that all Scrabble masters have memorized. Knowing these are the difference between a living room smackdown embarrassment and a triumphant trot down the hallway.
They are the 101 two letter words acceptable in Scrabble. Below are just a few for an example:
AA rough, cindery lava
AB abdominal muscle
AD advertisement
AE one
AG pert. to agriculture
That’s the real secret to Scrabble.
Here’s the lesson.
The most well paid, successful, leaders, marketers, pastors, engineers, or whatever all have one thing in common.
They are professional simplifiers.
They take the complicated and make it simple.
That’s it.
If you know all 101 of these simple 2 letter words, you will never lose at Scrabble again.
