Q: What makes the Layer Method better than other programs available online?
A: I am not sure it’s better. What I am sure of that it is more effective. Meaning… You will be more successful at this than most any other program out there. I know this because I failed at most of them.
It would be great to have all the knowledge that other programs teach, but in reality, I and most others will never spend the years it takes to absorb all the information. So…it is easy for me to say with confidence that the Layer Method of Piano is the MOST EFFECTIVE program ever created.
Q: Will I be able to play classical music after going through the Layer Method?
A: No.
In fact, if this is what you want then you would be better off spending your time building a time machine, set the date back to when you where about 5 yrs old. Show up then and get to it. But make sure you right a note to remind yourself to stop after 6 years or so and learn my way. Otherwise you will be bound by sheet music and all those years of lessons will be for not.
And finally…
Q: Do you still do dueling piano shows?
A: Only when I have to. Meaning, when I need to fill in for somebody in an emergency then I will. But the fact is I don’t really like playing those songs anymore. And I do have to practice for a 3 hour show. I like to be prepared. And the practice isn’t worth it to me anymore. I would much rather play songs I love, when I want, and enjoy the piano like I believe it was meant to be enjoyed.
