Is it better to die comfortably numb or fight to the death?
Stay with me.
My buddy has to put his dog down. Total tragedy. I’ve been there and it is awful.
I asked him, “Instead of going to the vet and having them lulled to sleep with some drug, is it possible, just possible, the better thing to do would be to drive them out to the middle of nowhere, drop them off in the woods and let them fight with a coyote or something for their last breath?”
For the people who just read that and now hate me… I ask that you plug the smoke coming out of your ears just for a moment.
They are going to die anyway right? Why not give them the excitement of being free and wild?
It reminds me of the movie “The Legends Of The Fall”
Great movie. One of my favorites.
In the very last seen, Tristan, the ultimate loner, lover, cowboy and badass, gets in a wrestling match with a bear when he is like 70 years old.
Thats exciting.
That gets the juices going.
Maybe that is the way we are supposed to go out?
I don’t think most people are waiting to die, instead they are waiting to live.
And if we don’t do something about it we are going to be a society of wussies and boring people.
No stories like our grandparents generation had.
Too much tv, too much texting, too much little screens that keep us from getting into the good kind of trouble.
Maybe you don’t want to wrestle bears, but you can certainly spice up your life by learning something that makes you more interesting to others. AND is fun at the same time.
Music is like that.
In fact, you could be a total rebel and head to the mall and start playing the piano in some uppity store until you get kicked off. Maybe arrested??? Rebel you…
Life can get a lot more interesting by going here:
