Life punched you in the face lately?
Happens to the best of us. And student Tim decided to punch it right back in the face by learning piano and getting the opportunity to do something most only dream of.
Read what Tim says below about his journey:
“Hi Tim, I wrote to you awhile ago. Since then I have gotten divorced. It was the last thing I ever wanted to happen, but it did, and life goes on. Anyway, I just wanted to share that I did purchase your Layer Method and haven’t looked back. I enjoy playing songs that I would have never thought possible before. I played for the first time in church this past Sunday. I loved it. I can’t thank you enough for what you do for people like myself and others. The piano will always be in my life. I am 62 years young. I suspect I will be around for sometime and it’s great knowing I play the piano. Thank you so Much- Tim T”
Divorce sucks…
… no getting around it.
I have been involved (indirectly) in a few.
Which is probably one of the reasons I waited until I was 39 to get married.
But enough about me.
How bout ol Timmy boy?
Punching ol life right back in the noggin!
I would like to say I am amazed by one of my students going from not playing piano, to buying the Layer Method, playing piano, and then playing for their church… but it’s a pretty common story.
None the less, it’s brings me MUCHO joy every time I hear it.
Here’s why:
Tim will call himself a piano player for the rest of his life. All his learning now will be directed into what he wants to play.
He will no longer dream about it, instead he will get better at it.
That is the goal.
Again, the goal for the Layer Method of Piano is simple.
To give you the skills so you confidently call yourself a piano player. That’s it.
Because when those words come out of your mouth for the first time and you say to someone.
“I play the piano”
It’s like getting a tattoo on your soul. It can’t be taken away.
So…
