I was almost gay…once.
Well…
… not on purpose, but it would have looked that way if my friend hadn’t stopped me.
Which reminds me…
…do you remember back in the day when tattoo’s meant you were a rebel?
Only the toughest dudes got tattoos.
and only the toughest dudes women got tattoos?
Gang members, Harley riders, the occasional hippie I guess, but it certainly wasn’t main stream.
Back then when you saw someone with a tattoo you either thought they were somehow a criminal or high.
But things changed around 1990 ish (at least in Iowa)
“normal” people started getting tattoos. Mostly little tat’s on their feet, or ankle…
… maybe on their arm (nothing like todays whole body is a billboard mentality)
And so it was about then I decided to get one myself.
1991.
I remember it like it was yesterday.
Driving along, calling my buddy because I finally decided what kind of tattoo I was going to get.
I called him up, said Johnny, “I know what I am going to get for a tattoo”
Johnny: “Cool, what is it?”
Me: “I am going to get a bullseye on my right arm”
Johnny: “Not bad, I like it!”
Me: “Also, I am going to fill in the rings of the bullseye with all the colors of the rainbow”
(a moment of silence)
Johnny: “Tim, you know that would mean you were gay.”
Tim: “Uh… no. I didn’t know that. Is that what all those rainbow bumper stickers mean?
Johnny: “yes”
So that was the end of it.
And to this day I never got a tattoo.
Which now…
…means I am the rebel, because everybody seems to have one!
Here’s the point:
Even though I saw the signs, I didn’t understand what they were telling me until my good buddy pointed it out.
If you are searching for a sign that this program is right for you to learn piano.
Then maybe this is it.
It certainly has been for thousands across the globe.
It definitely could be for you.
Regardless of how many times you tried before.
It only takes few minutes each day.
You can do this.
I personally hold you by the hand to make sure you accomplish it.
Besides…
…if you don’t like it, you can just let me know and I will make sure it cost you nothing. The only thing permanent about the Layer Method is your ability to play piano for the rest of your life.
