The spoon will always win.
Somehow I ran across this stat the other day.
32,000 deaths a year are contributed to guns.
300,000 are to obesity.
Maybe we need a conceal carry permit for our cheeseburger?
Training on how to properly handle a 64 oz pop from Kum-n-Go perhaps?
It’s obviously a bigger risk to our health than guns huh?
The point being…
…sometimes we focus on one thing when really it’s the other thing we should be talking about. The thing that actually has the most impact.
It’s a lot like piano.
Traditionally we have focused on reading sheet music.
But in all reality (if you don’t want to play complex melodies) Chords and patterns are what will be much more effective to your success at playing the piano.
And once this veil has been lifted, a whole new world of piano playing opportunity opens up for you.
One that means you can sit down (at random places) and play the piano in front of you.
Even get kicked off it.
Some of those pianos have locks on them.
I firmly believe it’s because they are tired of PianoFool’s students coming in and showing them up. 🙂
I’ve been kicked off quite a few.
My wife even more.
