I read an article the other day about this new machine that was supposed to revolutionize the way people play piano.
The “Lazy Way To Play” so to speak.
You didn’t have to read sheet music, know chords, or really know anything.
It’s premise is somewhat like the video game called guitar hero.
You simply hits keys based on what you see coming on the screen or whatever.
I’m already bored writing about it.
Stay with me…
Point being. I’m all for stuff like that. BUT… what happens when you take away the machine and all your left with is the piano?
Well… you pretty much stink and can’t play anything.
So what’s the point?
For me (and my PianoFool students) it’s about passion and playing freely.
We aren’t bound to something that will render our piano playing useless without it. Of course you can’t take the piano away, but anything else can go!
Heck… we (me and my students) don’t really even care about mistakes as long as we are enjoying playing.
I guess you could say we are kind of like the hippies of piano players.
Freelove vs. Freeplaying.
lol…
…Anyhoo.
Don’t fall for the easy way to play.
Instead, choose the proven way to play.
And you can do that here:
