Great quote I came across this morning.
With a few tweaks it may even apply to you.
“As entrepreneurs, we enjoy many things,
large and small, that the average person –
even someone with a ‘great job’ –
can’t even imagine.
Stay the course. It is worth it.” Ken McCarthy
Let’s switch it around a little bit.
“As people with the ability to sit down and play the piano at a moments notice we enjoy many things, large and small, that the average person- even someone with a “great life” can’t even imagine. Stay the course. It is worth it.” PianoFool
Both quotes are very true.
But whats even more true is the fact it’s not really a big deal to accomplish playing the piano.
I mean it’s simple with the right method and framework.
But to those who have always wanted to play, it can be magical.
I can’t tell you how many times I have sat down at a piano and played (even very simple things) and people have acted like it was some great feat that was just accomplished.
Like some magic trick or something.
Kinda of like the old magician act where he cuts the woman in half.
We all know she doesn’t really get cut in half, but we all watch and are totally entertain by how he pulls it off.
It’s no big deal to the magician and the woman. They both know the secret and do it every night.
Same thing with piano.
Once you get on the other side of the curtain, you realize how simple playing can be.
You just need the right magician to mentor you.
You don’t even need to worry about getting cut in half.
All you have to do is show up and practice 10-15 minutes per day and you will play. With both hands and it will sound full and rich.
