Not sure were I ran across this quote but its a good one.
“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.” EF Schumacher
I remember somebody telling me one time it’s very complicated to make something simple.
Like trying to explain to someone how to draw a circle.
Should be simple eh?
…yet it’s so hard to do.
Try it.
But in 2 seconds (without speaking) you can show them and then they can draw circles the rest of their life with no help.
It becomes simple.
Piano is a lot like that.
It can be made to be very complicated.
Which is the reason the majority of us have taken lessons and don’t have the ability to play anything (besides chopsticks)
Come to think about it, I’m not sure I can actually play chopsticks.
Anyhoo…
…The Holidays are coming up.
Wouldn’t it be amazing for you to sneak over to a piano, play a song, have it sound awesome!?
And then to have people start singing along?…
Especially when they didn’t even know you played piano?
It happens every year with PianoFool students and it’s one of the reasons it’s my favorite time of the year.
And it can happen for you.
Before Turkey Day.
There is still time if you start the Layer Method Of Piano Program right away.
