Question from Greg:
“Good afternoon Tim
I certainly want to believe the claims made with regards to playing piano are true. Not have to read sheet music? What if someone such as myself has a hard time with tone? How is one then able to play music. I am intrigued by the program. Please advise.”
That’s a really great question (and really hard to answer)
It’s different for everybody, but I will tell you this, I don’t have a great ear.
in fact, I cannot sing harmony at all…
…unless all the stars align for an instant and then it happens but goes away quickly.
My wife has an unbelievable ear and just doesn’t understand why I can’t hear the harmony.
It’s very irritating to be around someone that talented sometimes.
Now on the other hand, I can hear changes in songs.
So I can feel and know when to change chords, mostly because of the patterns I talk about in the Layer Method and also the familiarity of the song.
So the fact is, you don’t have a great ear to play the piano with both hands, have it sound awesome and love doing it!
And enjoying it is the most important thing.
Who cares if you don’t end up like Elton John anyways?
I would personally look terrible in his outfits.
But some people who don’t know any better will get fooled into thinking you are an awesome piano player, hence, PianoFool.
They get fooled into thinking that because the piano sounds great with simple methods.
Like REALLY great with super SIMPLE methods that you can learn right cheer:
